Consider wood shutters for arch windows

At Made in The Shade Blinds of Pittsburgh we love selling and installing wood Plantation Shutters because they make such a huge improvement to windows. The look on the customers faces after the install is priceless.  Many tell us afterwards that they can’t take their eyes off of them for days.

And when they tell their friends and their friends call us that is the best complement.

Many homes in the Pittsburgh area have arch windows and many times the homeowners are not sure what to do with them.  We always suggest plantations shutters.  Depending on the arch we may suggest a sunburst type of shutter that is stationary but the louvers can be opened and closed separately. This can allow light to come in but angle the glare away.  On other arch windows we may suggest a two door shutter with connected louvers so all on each door may be opened or closed together.  This can provide a very uniform look.

We have many different colors of wood, both stained and painted to match your existing casing or hard wood floors. And as always we bring the samples to you so you can compare them first hand to your décor.  We even bring several hand samples of Plantation Shutters for you to hold close to the window to provide you with a vision of what the end result will be.
