Drapery and Side Panel Options

At Made in The Shade Blinds of Pittsburgh we can offer you many different options for Draperies and side Panels.

So what is the difference between a Drapery and a Side Panel?

A Drapery is a fully custom panel or pair of panels made to your exact size in both width and height, they may be traversing or stationary.

A Side Panel is intended to be stationary and are made to your custom height but only come in widths of 20” or 40”.  However, these fabrics have two and a half times the width for fullness.

Header Styles:

Headers are the tops of the Draperies that attach to the rod.  We have at least 15 different header styles to choose from including: Pinch Pleat, Crown Pleat, Goblet Pleat, Inverted Pleat, Box Pleat, Two-Finger Pinch Pleat, Two Finger Crown Pleat, Rod Pocket, Grommet, Flat, Flowing, Gathered Tap Top, Traditional Tab Top, Back Tap, and Ripple Fold.

Rod Styles:

Made in The Shade Blinds of Pittsburgh offers several Rod styles that can be traversing (the drapery is attached to a mechanism inside the rod that allows it to open and close smoothly) or no traversing (the drapery slides over the rod either by hooks, grommets, or cloth enclosure.

Linings:

At Made in The Shade Blinds of Pittsburgh many of our Draperies and Side Panels come standard with Rain Repellent Lining.  Of course Blackout Lining is also available.  Interlining, a third layer of lining for greater opacity, is an option,  as is Dual Lining.

Duo Drapes:

Duo Drapers are a two-tone fabric.  The customer can choose two different fabrics to be sewn together for a completely custom look.

Tie Backs:

Tie Backs are available in the same fabric as your Draperies, or a different fabric.  It’s your choice.

Decorative trimmings and Edge Bandings are also available.
